Sea Green Singers has presented Asylum Welcome

with a donation of £532.41 at their offices in Oxford in January 2023.

The winter concert, ‘Which Side are you On’ was sold out. It told the story of protest and power in and around Oxford. The Singers will be repeating the concert in Abingdon later this year.

So, if you missed it first time round, please do come and listen.

Asylum Welcome offers information, advice and practical support to asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants living in Oxfordshire. Helping them to feel safe, respected and understood as members of our diverse community.

Sarah Westcott, the choir’s musical director says:

We are pleased to donate the proceeds from our concert to support the valuable work of Asylum Welcome. We very much support their work.

Emma Jones, Communications Coordinator for Asylum Welcome says

Thank you so much to the Sea Green Singers and concertgoers for this generous support. Our capacity is being stretched enormously this winter and we are incredibly grateful, as always for the kindness and solidarity of our local community”.
